A Day in the Life with Brooke

Seattle’s defining address is right here and we’re looking forward to showing you around our walkable waterfront location in downtown Seattle at Second and Stewart. From daily conveniences and some of our favorite finds just steps from your door at The Emerald to day trips from the nearby Seattle Ferry Terminal, Brooke Kavieff is taking you on a tour.

Find out little known facts about our neighbors at Pike Place Public Market, peruse the freshest flowers with tips from local farmers, sip secret menu cocktails atop The Nest rooftop as part of an Emerald perk, and take a ride in the fleet of onsite Tesla carshare vehicles. Tune into the new series called ‘A Day in the Life with Brooke’ hosted on The Emerald’s IGTV channel. Hop on Instagram @theemeraldseattle as Brooke showcases a million little reasons you’ll love calling this location home.

In the first episode, Brooke walks us from The Emerald to Pike Place Market where she takes you inside Michou Deli.  Located at the north end of the Market, north of Stewart on Pike Place, for 20-years this has been a favorite take-out spot to grab a picnic lunch and enjoy a nice day outdoors in Seattle.  Awarded three Seattle’s Best Place Awards and Citysearch’s Best Takeout Award, plus featured in Seattle Magazine’s “Best Takeout” issue as well as listed in several national and international dining guides, there’s no better spot to grab and go! Don’t forget to order the lunch special to get your Zeppole! Now for the best spots to enjoy some Seattle sunshine at the Market, follow Brooke for a peek inside the Secret Garden and the backside of the Market. Did you know? Pike Place is home to over 500 residents many of whom are low-income and it has a Food Bank that serves over 1,000 people weekly! Rachel the Pig is a great spot for selfies, but it also serves as an actual piggy bank where donations go to social services. Plus, The Atrium is a great spot to grab a Pop-up breakfast on a Friday and for each meal you purchase, they give a meal to someone in need. As you enjoy the stroll, don’t miss the art! You may just find yourself inspired.
